Report employee misconduct and corruption
The Office of the Deputy Inspector General (ODIG) investigates allegations concerning:
- lapses in employee integrity
- corruption involving employees
- corrupt interference with New York State tax administration by contractors, agents of the Department and external sources interacting with Department employees
Examples of allegations that you should report include:
- bribes or bribery attempts directed at Department employees
- extortion or misuse of position by Department employees
- unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential taxpayer information by Department employees
- misappropriation of state funds by Department employees or agents of the Department for illicit purposes
